Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation is focused on developing low risk, repeatable drilling opportunities across North America. As of December 31, 2009 the Company had approximately 2,060 Bcfe of total proved reserves, including substantial shale holdings and conventional horizons. Cabot’s activity focuses on the Marcellus shale in northeast Pennsylvania and on multiple plays including the Haynesville and Eagle Ford shales in Texas.
Approximately 98% of Cabot’s reserves and 95% of Cabot’s production is natural gas.
Cabot, a mid-sized independent trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker “COG” and is a member of the S&P 500 Index.
About Dan O. Dinges
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Dan O. Dinges joined Cabot Oil & Gas Corporation in September, 2001 as its President and Chief Operating Officer, and a member of its Board of Directors. In May, 2002 he assumed his current position as Chairman, President and CEO. Prior to joining Cabot, Dinges held various management positions over 20 years with Noble Energy.
Dinges is a current director of the American Exploration & Production Council (formerly Domestic Petroleum Council), America’s Natural Gas Alliance, Spitzer Industries, Inc., United States Steel Corporation, the Foundation for Energy Education, the Boy Scouts of America, and Palmer Drug Abuse Program. Dinges is also a member of the All-American Wildcatter’s. He graduated with a BBA degree in Petroleum Land Management from The University of Texas.
