Born in Israel : The Technology That Took the Xbox to the Next Level in Gaming
Recently, the video game industry could be considered akin to an arms race, with Sony’s PlayStation, Nintendo’s Wii, and Microsoft’s Xbox technologies constantly evolving to one-up the others to capture the attention of gamers across the world. Last November, Microsoft’s Xbox may have fired the defining shot in the “war” with the advent of the Kinect, a 3-D camera integration technology that enables users to effectively BE the controller, and control the outcome of the game through physical motion. One benefactor of the success of the Kinect has been PrimeSense, the Israeli tech company that is behind the on-range camera technology that powers the Kinect. Inon Beracha, the CEO of PrimeSense, joins “The American Entrepreneur” Ron Morris to discuss the PrineSense story, the technology behind the Kinect, and what’s on the horizon for gamers and non-gamers alike.

Why Peter Thiel’s “20 Under 20” Program is a Bad Idea: Peter Cohan
Peter Thiel has made a career of turning heads. He did so as one of the co-founders of Paypal, and now he’s doing it once again with his “20 Under 20” program, in which he gave 24 college students $100,000 apiece to drop out of school and start their tech enterprise. Many observers have seen this as a groundbreaking idea destined to unearth the next Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gates, but according to venture capitalist and management consultant Peter Cohan, the odds of success are decidedly not in the favor of these young hopefuls. Peter Cohan joins “The American Entrepreneur” Ron Morris to discuss these odds, and why Peter Thiel is making a fool’s bet.
A “Dirty Dozen” That Will Get Your Business a “Thumbs Down” From the IRS: Phil Sabo
When most people think of “The Dirty Dozen”, they think of one of the greatest war movies of all time. When the people at Wilke and Associates think of “The Dirty Dozen”, they think of the annual list produced by the IRS that lays out the 12 most popular tax schemes perpetrated by businesses and individuals in order to soften (or avoid altogether) the blow that comes around each tax season. From offshore income to charitable donation abuse, to misuse of fuel tax credits, the scams and the punishments will be the subject of this week’s “Ask the Accountant” segment, as Phil Sabo of Wilke and Associates CPA joins “The American Entrepreneur” Ron Morris to discuss what NOT to do when filing your taxes, and what happens if you do it anyway.
