The American Entrepreneur

From O.J.’s “Dream Team” to the American Dream: Robert Shapiro and LegalZoom.com

Robert Shapiro, Doug Heuck, Horst Rechelbacher

Unlike any event in American history, the murder trial of O.J. Simpson brought the legal process directly into the living rooms of a captivated American public.  The central, legal figures of that trial became household names overnight. Since then, they have all gone their separate ways, but one member of O.J’s Dream Team, defense attorney Robert Shapiro, took the entrepreneurial route.  Just as The Trial of the Century brought the courtroom to the people, Shapiro’s mission with his website, LegalZoom.com, now brings crafting legal documents to the public.  Robert joins “The American Entrepreneur” Ron Morris, to tell his story about this revolutionary venture.

Hair Care Industry Giant Horst Rechelbacher Talks about Returning To His Organic Roots

When Horst Rechelbacher’s Aveda hair care products first hit shelves in 1978, nobody in the hair care industry was talking about such ideas as exotics, organics, and aromatherapy.  But they do now, thanks to Horst’s environmentally-friendly vision, and even though Horst sold Aveda to Estee Lauder for $300 million, he felt that his vision wasn’t quite fulfilled.  Now Horst is back with a wholly organic, home grown product, Intelligent Nutrients, a renewed sense of purpose, and a story to tell “The American Entrepreneur” Ron Morris.

Why Is It Important To Understand The City In Which You Live and Work?

Think about the city you call home.  It may be where you reside, or where you work, but how much do you know about your city? You may know some history and some neat trivia, but do you know about the key metrics that make your city thrive, or the benchmarks that your city should attain to grow so that you, in turn, can prosper?  Doug Heuck of Pittsburgh Quarterly thinks you should, and using the Steel City as an example, he talks with The American Entrepreneur, Ron Morris, about the metrics that make Pittsburgh tick, and what the city needs to do to return to prominence.
