The American Entrepreneur

A New Venue For Entrepreneurs to Brainstorm

Elliott Williams, Jerry Bowyer, Celeste Wilhelm

Like many others in his class, Elliott Williams earned his Masters Degree from Carnegie Mellon University.  Unlike many others in his class, Elliott decided to stay in Pittsburgh after graduation, and realized that by doing so, he was in the great minority.  At that point, his mission became clear: Keep the talent that graduates from Pittsburgh universities IN Pittsburgh after graduation.  His weapon of choice?  Grind Pittsburgh, an organization devoted to creating a cohesive independent worker community and casual social workspaces with business resources for freelancers, consultants, and other independent workers. Elliott talks with “The American Entrepreneur” Ron Morris about the mission of Grind Pittsburgh, why he started Grind Pittsburgh, and what his plans are for the future.

Also on the Show:

Jerry Bowyer (Economist): What does the turmoil in Egypt mean for the American economy?
