The American Entrepreneur

How a Florist Became an Entrepreneur and Master Franchisor

Tariq Farid, Keith Rothfus, John Kennedy

A Connecticut man had been a florist for seven years.  Then one day in 1999, he had an idea.  That idea became a business.  That business has since grown to over 700 franchises throughout the US and Canada.  “The American Entrepreneur” Ron Morris talks with Tariq Farid, the founder and CEO of Edible Arrangements, the company behind the carefully crafted fresh fruit bouquets that are one of the most popular and well-received gifts during the holiday season.  Plus, Ron talks with John Kennedy, a longtime railroad entrepreneur who has since devoted his efforts to the conservative political and business causes via “Empower PA”, an organization on which John is the Chair.  And Ron talks with Keith Rothfus, a Congressional hopeful who will discuss his plan for business should he be able to successfully knock off incumbent Jason Altmire come November’s elections.
